Each version family below includes its minor and patch releases. The target is a destination for assessment, not a promise that every old site can safely update in one step. If your site already runs the current release, it does not need a core version upgrade.

What an old-site upgrade involves
- Record the existing WordPress, PHP, database, theme and plugin versions, including custom or abandoned code.
- Verify a restorable backup and create a staging copy before testing changes.
- Check the target release's requirements and decide whether dependencies need replacing or intermediate upgrade steps.
- Test admin access, forms, checkout, payment integrations and any organization-specific pricing or shipping rules.
- Agree on a deployment window and rollback plan. Active stores need a plan to preserve new orders while changes are prepared.
Will my old plugins still work?
That depends on their code and supported versions. An upgrade review identifies components that need updating, replacement or repair. We confirm scope and cost before paid work; we do not assume a core update alone will fix every problem.
